A 2D-pixel art platformer

Play as a diver who has faced an unfortunate accident at sea and must journey to pay Charon, The Ferryman and cross The River Styx. Adventure deep down into the depths to find the passage leading you to your destination in this 2D pixel-art platformer.

An ancient tale is whispered about the liminal space between life

and death. A river runs deep and unyielding

waiting for the departed to cross and separate themselves from the living,

lest they remain as lost souls. The journey across these waters is not free,

A toll must be paid.

A single coin.

One must pay the ferryman, so that he gets you to the other side.

About the project:

This project was made for the 57th Ludem Dare with the theme: "Depths". Being for the Ludem Dare, our team of three was tasked with designing and developing a game within a 72 hour timeframe.

About our team:

We are a three man team with a heavy sound and art focus, all studying Game Design and Development together. Because of this we wanted to challenge ourselves to make a heavy art styled game, making us settle on a pixel art game. We also deeply wanted to involve sound, and as such we decided to do a small narrative in our game as well as have our sound designer create magical audio tracks for the game.
